I cancelled it, but they billed my credit card anyway. I've been trying since July of 2000 to receive my credit to no avail. If anyone has any ideas on how to pursue this, I'd SURE appreciate it! We've been paying the monthly service charges on that amount which should never have been billed to my credit card in the first place! Now I can't even reach them by phone! Just warning anyone else... don't even accept the so called FREE trial!!! Sandy

They promised me a free DSL modem and a $20 a month fee for internet service 50 times faster than my present system. When I got the "free" DSL and started reading I found out the DSL cost $240.00 and the $20 service fee was really $44.50. So I had the thing and I tried to set it up anyway. The software was defective. The technicians were rude and uninformed and when I tried to return it I found that I had to use a sticker that they had to provide me. I begged and pleaded for almost 6 months for the sticker. I wrote emails everyday asking for one. I enlisted the help of my local phone company to no avail. Finally they sent me a return sticker and billed me for the unit along with 6 months of internet service I never had. They told me that I had to pay it because I did not return the unit within 90 days of when I first ordered it. I hit the roof. I called and wrote my congressman and my senator asking for their help. They get asked for help by companies all the time but little people like us think they are to busy for us. I complained to the public service commission, I complaimed to the state advocates office, I complained to the department of Agriculture and consumer affairs. I found the ethics site on bellsouths home page and complained to them. I found a site where employees of bellsouth could email each other and ripped the president of bellsouth a new a-hole. I went to every comsumer fraud site and complained. I even envoled the FCC because they have juristiction over false claims by a telephone company. Within a few days I started receiving apologies and promises to reverse the charges. When it was done, they reversed all the charges and credited my account $200.00(to shut up). You should have called the credit card company in the beginning and told them product was defective, it was returned and you are not paying for it. Now what you can do is go online as I did, spend the time to find out who you can complain to and start giving this guy more grief than he thought was humanly possible. You can do it. All it takes is a little time. You got nothing to lose. Try standing in front of his store on the weekends with a sign that says he cheated you.(Make sure you are on public property). Most people would not go into a store if someone they could identify with was cheated or treated badly enough to stand out front with a sign. I saw a woman in front of a car dealer once with a sign that said she was cheated and the lot was empty of customers. The dealer finally settled. You can get mad enough to do something about it. You may even find other people who got cheated by him also. ||205.185.21.237||reg||
